Anthropologie in Toronto

Anthropologie is the cutest store filled with overpriced lovely things and they have just opened their first store in Toronto. Yesterday was the opening party with 10% of sales going to The Nature Conservancy of Canada in honour of Earth Day. Luckily I have a dear friend who works for the NCC, and we went, strictly with the intention of helping nature, of course.
Sipping sangria and nibbling on tasty little crackers with cheese and olives, we wound through the store, overwhelmed by the adorableness of it all. I immediately started fantasizing about my new life as an Anthropologie girl, waking up in my cute pajama set under my bright coverlet, staring at my whimsical drawer pulls as I select an adorable frock for the day and mix myself pancakes using my porcelain bird measuring cups. I was in fantasy overdrive until I peeked at the price tags. “Don’t think about it being money spent”, my friend encouraged, always the nature advocate, “think about it as donating to nature.”
Alas, my only purchase was an a metal letter “A” for The Sweetie, bringing my donation to The Nature Conservancy to a pitiful $1.45. Little vases, drawer pulls and colourful frocks will have to wait. Sorry nature.
