Happy Halloween
I know it is wrong. I hate the whole pet as accessory and starlet carrying her teacup dog in a purse trend. I get creeped out by people pushing their pets around in strollers. I believe animals are entitled to as much dignity as humans, I really do. I love animals. All the same, how on earth can I resist these pet costumes?

I know my cat would murder me in my bed if I ever tried to put any article of clothing on him. He is not a lighthearted creature and has an excessive amount of pride. I believe animals are noble and should remain animal-like but oh to have my way with a few compliant dogs and one tame squirrel for a single night of costumed hilarity, it would be a magical night indeed.

My little Emster was bent on dressing up our dogs but I resisted. We were out trick-or-treating with together on Saturday evening and DID see a few “ruffled” dogs escorting their younguns. None to the extent of those you’ve posted here, though! I can’t see my two hounds being up for this festivity… Murdoch would probably snarl at the neighbour’s clowned-up Retriever while Koda stole his human’s candy. Night of the living dead, indeed! ~A

I couldn’t agree more- although I agree what you about everything on you blog;remember the face painting and balloons at the cemetery opening? Gachh. Any self respecting adult human would never insult our dear canine and feline buddies by dressing them up as french fries. I say the folks that do this are in severe need of deep self esteem adjustment. L
